“A Secret Art”

The latest show at ArtWorks is “A Secret Art” which is a post apocalyptic art show.  This is my piece “The fortune Teller”.  One of the  requirements for the show was that the art had to be hidden within something else.  This box for the piece has a sliding top panel which allows the art to be removed.  The piece works like a “magic 8 ball” where you can spin a wheel to reveal your fortune!

This is an acrylic on canvas 22×28  “Sometimes Things Grow in the Strangest Places”  It is my entry for the Kenosha/Racine Arts Network member show.  The exhibit is on display at the Racine Arts Council through February.

Update:

In a little good news:  the drawing “The Usual Coincidences” was selected as an ArtSlant drawing showcase winner for the 3rd 2010 showcase.

My entry in this years “Caged” event will be auctioned off with 24 other pieces at the Harbor Market on Sat. Sept.11   All the proceeds go towards Lemon Street Gallery and all the great work that they do in the community.

I wouldn’t mind getting this one back…there are a few things I’d love to “fix”  come on down and bid against me!
